Metteson will perform at Bergenfest 2024 Saturday, June 15!

Trust, freedom, beauty, and engagement are the core values of Metteson, the artistic project of Sverre Breivik, poised to become Norway's next big pop star. Metteson's approach to his craft, incorporating elements of songwriting, dance, and theater, has made his live shows favorites among both audiences and critics. He was singled out as an artist to watch at by:Larm in October 2021 and has already caught the attention of The Guardian. Following a career at the National Theatre in Oslo and Nationale Scene in Bergen, Metteson has discovered his remarkable talent for combining songwriting with art and stage performances.

Inspired by theater and artists like Perfume Genius, ABBA, George Michael, Robyn, and Christine and the Queens, Metteson creates music that invites dance. With the assistance of acclaimed producers like Matias Tellez (Girl In Red) and Vetle Junker (Aurora, Nils Bech), he has developed a powerful and personal sound and an immersive show that one simply must experience. Metteson is a strong supporter of the LGBTQ+ music community and aims to inspire the next generation of artists, regardless of background, gender, or sexuality.
