St Paul & The Broken Bones will perform at Bergenfest 2024 Friday, June 14!

Since their inception in 2011, St. Paul & The Broken Bones have distinguished themselves with a genre-defying sound, blending traditional soul with elements of summery funk and classic disco. The band's distinctive musical style, first introduced on their 2014 debut album "Half the City," has grown and evolved with each release, culminating in their latest album "Angels in Science Fiction," released in 2023. This album continues the journey through shadowy psychedelia and intricate, experimental R&B, a path they began exploring with their 2022 release "The Alien Coast." 

Originating from Birmingham, Alabama, the band consists of Paul Janeway (vocals), Jesse Phillips (bass), Browan Lollar (guitar), Kevin Leon (drums), Al Gamble (keyboard), Allen Branstetter (trumpet), Chad Fisher (trombone), and Amari Ansari (saxophone). Their unique sound has earned them spots at major festivals like Lollapalooza, Coachella, and Glastonbury, and they have received acclaim from respected critics, as well as sharing the stage with music icons such as Elton John and The Rolling Stones.
