Of Monsters and Men will perform at Bergenfest 2026 Friday, June 12.
Of Monsters and Men had their major breakthrough with the 2011 debut album My Head Is an Animal, led by the megahit “Little Talks,” which quickly took the band from Reykjavík to stages around the world. Since then, the quintet has stayed together, released several albums and built a large international following.
After six years without a new album, they returned in 2025 with All Is Love and Pain in the Mouse Parade, a record made on their own terms after stepping away from the constant cycle of touring and releases. In the meantime, the band members focused on solo projects, started families and took time to reconnect with why they formed the band in the first place.
In true Of Monsters and Men fashion, the new material moves between the grand and the more understated. With songs like “Television Love,” “Ordinary Creature” and “Tuna in the Can” in their set, this looks set to be a long-awaited return from a band that has been a steady presence on the indie soundtrack of the past decade.
