SKAAR will perform at Bergenfest 2024 Friday, June 14! 

24-year-old SKAAR from Stord has truly established herself as one of the most exciting pop artists in Norway. In 2020, she released her debut EP, "The Other Side Of Waiting," and was nominated for both the Spellemann award in the categories 'Pop Artist of the Year' and 'Newcomer of the Year,' as well as receiving the Gramo Scholarship. SKAAR's knack for melodies, relatable lyrics, strong vocals, and captivating stage presence has also garnered international interest. 

After going through a turbulent period, where expressing herself through songwriting became more important than ever, SKAAR released the critically acclaimed album "Mad Woman" in 2023. Aftenposten's music critic described it as a contrast-filled pop success, stating, "Skaar stands out as one of our best artists, and all with an album that dares to defy expectations." 2023 was also the year of her first headlining tour, with sold-out concerts at both Rockefeller in Oslo and Kulturhuset in Bergen.
