The Kooks will perform at Bergenfest 2026 Thursday, June 11.
The Kooks broke through with their debut album Inside In/Inside Out in 2006. Songs like “Naive,” “She Moves in Her Own Way,” and “Ooh La” quickly made them one of the defining bands of the British indie boom, with more than two million copies of the debut sold.
Twenty years later, those indie favourites have found a new life. They keep resurfacing on playlists and in clips across social media, the streaming numbers continue to grow, and the songs connect both with those who had them on their iPods in 2006 and those who discovered them on TikTok last week. Today, their audience spans generations, and their catalogue keeps finding new listeners.
Following their latest album Never/Know, the band completed their biggest arena tour to date, with sold-out shows in cities like Manchester and London. In the summer of 2026, they will also play a major outdoor show by the Thames in London, marking the 20th anniversary of their debut.
When The Kooks arrive at Bergenfest, they do so with a catalogue that continues to make its mark, and as a band that never really went away.
