Tropical Fuck Storm will perform at Bergenfest 2026 on Thursday, June 11.

Tropical Fuck Storm describe their own music as “weird music for people who are sick of the same old shit”. It’s an accurate summary, without reading as a warning or a form of exclusion. Here, 70s rock, grunge, post-punk, noise and psychedelic detours meet in what has become Tropical Fuck Storm’s own precise expression.

Hailing from Melbourne, the band delivers groovy riffs, two guitars in constant friction, hard-hitting drums and a deep bass that keeps the songs in motion without revealing what lies around the next bend. This forward-driving approach has earned them coverage from The Guardian, The Quietus and Bandcamp Daily, all pointing to the band’s distinctive direction. Among other things, they’ve released their own version of the Bee Gees’ “Stayin’ Alive”, a clear example of TFS’ unpredictable course.

For anyone looking to experience something different, unpredictable and undeniably tough, or with Captain Beefheart, Swans, Sabbath or The Slits already in their record collection, Tropical Fuck Storm is just what the doctor ordered.
